Well, this started out in my head as a comic story about a psychotherapist who was literally shrinking, and was going to feature a lot of jokes about a shrinking shrink… but although I’m pretty good at stretching even the thinnest joke over a few hundred words, I couldn’t make that one work. And then I switched it around and it became something different.

Well done, I think it is much creepier like this, with the psychotherapist literally diminishing the patient and reducing him to a specimin in a jar.
